Go Blog Social: A Conference Recap

Posted by & filed under Uncategorized.

A couple weeks back, a few of the Pollinate ladies took to Kansas City to experience the Go Blog Social conference and of course, lots of amazing food. Alissa, Summer, and myself experienced all that we could in the short 48 hours we were there.

Pollinate Media was a sponsor of Go Blog Social and we were so excited to introduce for the first time ever, our charging stations. These babies are legit — from iPhones, to iPads, to androids, and anything else in between these stations had you covered. Add in a couch, a few chairs and candy and our station was a great spot to just unwind and re-charge. This lounge station also allowed for many great conversations to happen between conference attendees and us Pollinate ladies. It never ceases to amaze me — bloggers are awesome, real people who have so much more to offer than a space on the internet.
To kick off the conference, our co-founder Alissa gave the first presentation and yes, you should be sad you weren’t there to listen to all of it. Not only did she share her story, she touched on the points of balance and how you really can have it all, the ins and outs of re-branding your blog or business, and ultimately how to “grab fear by the balls and go after your dreams”.
The next two days were filled with lots of awesome other speakers who reminded us time and time again how important it is to be authentic, that we should dare to be different, and I think I can speak on behalf of everybody when I say we left feeling inspired to come back home and make things happen.
If any of you have the chance to attend Go Blog Social in the future, we would totally recommend it. Not only will you leave having learned a lot, you will have made connections with so many incredible (and fun) bloggers, and while you will also come home with a few extra pounds around your waist, you will not regret an ounce of it. Or at least I haven’t (#wink) …
Our next stops? Pollinate is heading to both SNAP! and Mom 2.0 – be sure to say hello if you will also be there! We can’t wait to meet more and more of you as we make our way around! What conferences are you looking forward to?
xo, Erin
