2013 new years post
Can you believe it’s a whole new year already? It literally seems like a whole year just flew by. 2012 felt more like a whirl wind, tons of changes, lots of adjustments, and plenty of ups and downs.  In 2012, our family celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and new family family members…  my husband and I celebrated 6 years of marriage, and took our first trip to Vegas together. It was the only time we’ve gone on a trip alone since the little “weekend honeymoon” we took 6 months after getting married. And it was long overdue.  In 2012, I went to work for THIS amazing company, I went to my first blog conference, I traveled to meet other blog friends, and I went way out of my comfort zone meeting new people and making lots of connections… In 2012, I painted rooms in our house, bought new home appliances, and completed projects that had been on my to-do list for months… And since I still have that very long to-do slash goals I want to achieve list, I thought I’d share some of the more important ones with you.  Some of you might be making your own 2013 resolutions or goals to achieve list, and I’d love to know some of yours, whether they be big or small, so after checking out what my 2013 Goals are, why don’t you tell me one of yours in the comment section below! 2013 Goals I am going to work towards becoming my best self. I want to take the time and put in the work to be a better mom, wife, and overall self.  I’m not talking about becoming a Stepford wife or anything, I just want to give a little more effort towards whatever I’m doing at the moment, whether that be making dinner, playing with the kids, or taking time to have a conversation with my husband at the end of the day. I want to live more in the present and less in the past or the future. I am going to become a healthier me. In December my grandma had a stroke. It was sudden and unexpected, but then again it wasn’t. She has had heart problems, diabetes, and issues with weight, blood pressure, and other things for a long time. I don’t want that to become my life, however many years from now, and I really don’t want that to be the life my children see me having either. I am going to become a runner. No seriously, I have always had this dream of one day running a marathon, or half marathon or whatever. Becoming a runner will definitely require work, effort, and help me become a healthier me. I am going to continue making new friendships, and having new experiences. I want to find joy in the simple things. I am going to be more thankful for what God has blessed us with. Each moment, every day, it’s a beautiful gift.
Happy New Year! Hoping that you will find lots of joy in 2013!
