It seems that once you have kids time really seems to be put on fast forward!  It’s so cliche, but I can’t believe it’s already a new year and this next one is going to be Sa-Weet!  For sure the thing I am most looking forward to is the birth of lucky baby numero tres.  Since this is mostly likely my last pregnancy I am really trying to soak in every moment and enjoy even the less enjoyable moments that come along with with the miracle of baby cookin’.

2012 was certainly filled with it’s own enjoyable moments and milestones.  The thing that Lennie and I like to reflect on is how far Gavin has come this past year.  January of 2012 Gavin was barely initiating speech and today he will watch a movie and recite the entire thing along with the characters.  He is able to clearly (at least to us, we are fluent in “Gav-speak”) communicate his wants and needs which commonly include: bath, pajamies, waffles, games and pumpkin monsters.

Dylan’s personality has definitely developed this past year!  It’s so fun to see how different 2 children from the same family can be.  Gavin loves puzzles and the tablet and requires bribes of suckers or doughnuts in order for hugs and kisses.  Dylan is constantly climbing on us for cuddle time, whacking everything in sight with his bat and trying to give the dogs “knucks” (fist bumps).  He gets quite angry when Chewie does not reciprocate.  He’s definitely a lover and a fighter

I’m not too big on New Year’s resolutions, but this year I really want to make this house our home.  We have been renting for 4 years and I feel like we are still living in someone else’s house.  We always have one foot out the door.  Given the fact that baby #3 is due in July and our lease happens to be up in July, we have decided to commit to another year here.  There is no part of me that thinks that moving at 9 months pregnant is a good idea.  I may be delusional, but I am not a masochist.  Lennie on the other hand thinks it’s totally do-able.  Oh how I wish men could feel what it’s like to be pregnant, just for one day…you know one day would be all they could take.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Years with the ones you love and wish you all the best in 2013!!!
